Working under a turnkey contract with Tulane University Medical Center, LawlerWood developed the student housing complex adjacent to the Tulane Medical Center in downtown New Orleans. LawlerWood acquired the site, consisting of one city block and completed design and construction of an eight-story, 163,000 square foot building containing 279 units of housing for medical students along with 15,000 s.f. of retail space. The project is connected to the Tulane Hospital by a second floor pedestrian bridge. LawlerWood arranged construction and permanent financing with a Louisiana bank. The financing package was assumable by Tulane at the time of its turn-key purchase of the facility after completion
