When Cornerstone of Recovery needed an experienced project manager to lead the development of a new 200-bed Inpatient Drug Rehabilitation Center, it selected LawlerWood over several other regional firms. LawlerWood was engaged to plan, program, design, construct and equip this new facility in Alcoa, TN. The campus setting includes multiple facilities arranged with a pedestrian scale supporting patient healing. The architecture of the facilities embodies “retreat” characteristics to providing a relaxing campus atmosphere. LawlerWood implemented early contractor involvement and design assist to increase the predictability of the design and budget allowing the owner to make better informed decisions early in the design process.
